Petersfield - Liss - Petersfield: 8.01 miles - 17,513 Steps

Another old familiar walk, but no less enjoyable.

Much enlivened by finding a new wild plum tree, picking a reasonable number of sloes and finding a wild apple tree - I made one jar of wild plum jam and several jars of sloe and apple jelly.

It is interesting to see how fields change and it was very noticeable that some of the footpaths were overgrown.

In the eighteenth century pineapples were a sign of great wealth and rich people used to carry them around - now they wear Apple Watches!   Piles of logs are often quite photogenic
