Petersfield - Shoulder of Mutton - Petersfield: 8.68 miles - 18,989 Steps

A lovely autumn day - some sun and high cloud. I met another walker on the way to Steep and discovered that we were both going to the Shoulder of Mutton, but by different routes. I was amazed that we both reached the Shoulder of Mutton at the same time and enjoyed the views together before we each returned to Petersfield by different routes.

Many trees still retain their leaves but there are lots of leaves on the ground and it was great fun kicking my way through them!

I sometimes et off at a brisk pace but then find myself getting home at a more leisurely pace - today I decided to measure my outgoing and homecoming rates: 120 paces per minute on the way out, 110 nearer home!
