Polar bears have a superb sense of smell and are always sniffing the air for their favourite food: seals.
The can smell a seal almost a mile away and as deep as a metre (three feet) below compacted snow.
In a full sprint Polar bears can reach speeds of up to 40 kilometres per hour - 25 miles per hour.
For a male weighing up to 408 Kg (900 lb or 64 stones), that's pretty impressive!
