Thursday 25 JanuaryPetersfield - Queen Elizabeth Country Park - Petersfield: 8.46 miles - 18,498 steps - Three and quarter hoursThis is not my favourite walk since a lot of it is along pavements and alongside the busy A3 but after all the rain we've had recently I thought that it was a good idea to avoid muddy footpaths - see my precious walk to support this theory! It was quite cool but sunny - but as I approached Petersfield I could see dark rain clouds to the west and sheets of rain coming down, but I only experienced a short shower. When I got home I found that it had hailed and rained - but not where I was! After breakfast Liz prayed that I would have a good walk and would see something interesting - and I did: three deer ran across my path as I walked through Queen Elizabeth Country Park!
