Petersfield - Shoulder of Mutton - Petersfield: 8.63 miles - 18,862 steps - Three and quarter hours

This must have been my wettest walk ever! It had rained overnight on the last two days and there was lots of water and mud around - but my feet were toastie warm and dry: that's why we buy expensive walking boots!

The wind had blown several trees down and a couple had fallen right across the path.

It started out with total blue skies but had clouded up by the end of the walk. I took a flask of hot chocolate but when I go to the seat at The Shoulder of Mutton I could have done with a choc ice!

I once saw a Kingfisher on this pond...   ... today, only Mallards!
