Petersfield - Rake - Petersfield: 7.65 miles, 16,742 steps, three hours (including breakfast)

A lovely sunny day - wonderful to see the crops growing and for the bluebell footpath closing in as the bracken and stinging nettle grow up.

That afternoon I went to St Mary's hospital in Portsmouth to have a cancerous growth removed from my neck and a sample to analysis taken from my left ear. The local anaesthetic injections were painful, but the rest was OK - with a large plaster in place and some neat stitching.
