The Jolly Drover - 7 Miles

We've done this walk together a few times and I've done it many times on my own, but it's still a lovely walk. The footpath that is normally overgrown at this time of year was still accessible - perhaps because its been so dry.

Liz thought that this tree - in Durford Woods - looked like a snail!   It is certainly a strange looking tree!

Several fields were planted with maize this year

The maize in the next field was further ahead than those above

The soil is very sandy - and very dry   Nature's flower arrangements

The footpath is, unusually for June, clear   Looking back along the footpath
