Butser Hill - 12.0 Miles
One of my longest walks - a bit boring walking along the road to Queen Elizabeth Country Park (QECP) but then it's glorious countryside all the way! Liz was with me and we had breakfast on one of the picnic benches before setting off for Ramsdean.
Just past Ramsdean we had some fun - the field through which we had to walk contained several calves who were very lively and took a fancy to Liz - they followed her across the field and into the next field, chewing on her cardigan as they did so!
The very last part of the walk, alongside the slip road from the A3 is rather boring as it is in between two hedgerows and affords very little in the way of views.

The beech trees in QECP are wonderful at all times of the year! |

I think that I see the radio tower on Butser on everyone of my walks - today, from close by! |

The views from the top of Butser Hill are stunning - and notice the blue sky - is stayed like that all day! |
